Per-seat pricing
A fixed fee for every named user, every month, whether they use the tool or not.

Short answer. Per-seat pricing charges a fixed fee for each named user, usually per month and often with a yearly commitment, whatever each person actually uses. Microsoft and Google sell their office AI assistants this way. On Microsoft’s India pricing page, checked in October 2026, the Microsoft 365 Copilot Business add-on costs ₹1,745 per user per month paid yearly, plus GST, and needs an existing eligible Microsoft 365 plan. Google lists Workspace Business Standard, which includes its Gemini assistant in Gmail, Docs and Meet, at ₹1,080 per user per month before tax. For a 10-person office, the Copilot add-on alone comes to ₹2,09,400 a year. Per-seat pricing is predictable, but the bill rises with every person added, and seats are paid for whether or not they are used.

What to watch for

  • Prerequisites: an add-on seat may need a base licence for the same person.
  • Commitments: Microsoft notes that cancellation policies vary and certain subscriptions may incur a cancellation fee.
  • Promotions: first-year discounts end, so budget at the standard price.
  • Unused seats: you pay for people who rarely open the tool.
  • Data on exit: Microsoft’s India pricing page notes that when a subscription is cancelled, all associated data will be deleted.

Per-seat versus per-device

An appliance is priced per device, not per seat. ANVE’s launch line-up uses named-user tiers instead: ANVE One for 1 to 3 named users at an indicative ₹2,99,000, ANVE Office for up to 25 at ₹4,49,000, and ANVE Office Pro for up to 100 at ₹9,49,000, all ex-GST, with final prices not yet announced. The useful comparison is the cost per person who actually uses the tool, over the years you will use it, including running costs on both sides.

ANVE Office is also offered as rent-to-own, directly from ANVE with no third-party lender: ₹13,999 a month × 48 months, ex-GST, care included (ANVE Care: updates and support), and the box is yours at the end. Both prices are indicative; the final price and the rent-to-own agreement are confirmed in writing before you order.

Questions people ask

What is a named user?
A specific person who is licensed to use the service, as opposed to a shared login. Per-seat prices are counted per named user.
Is per-seat or per-token pricing cheaper?
Per-seat suits steady daily use by many people; per-token suits occasional or automated use. Work out both for your expected volume.
Do Indian list prices include GST?
No. Microsoft’s India page says GST is extra, and Google’s says its prices do not include tax, as of October 2026.
Can we buy AI seats for only some staff?
Usually, since seats are priced per user. Mixed licensing keeps cost down but means some staff use other tools, which your AI use policy should cover.

What is not real yet

No sealed ANVE unit exists; every image of the appliance on this site is a labelled render. The software runs today on a development machine. No customers yet, no certifications, no delivery date, and the final price is not announced.

Reservations are ₹999 in India or US$12 elsewhere, refundable in full until you confirm an order in writing (terms). Offices that cannot use cloud AI can apply to be one of ten design partners.
