ANVE: the private AI office, on the record. See what that means

ANVE

Private AI glossary · updated 2026-10-06

Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Defined in plain words, for offices deciding how to use AI.

Short answer. Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) is a method where, before a language model answers, the system searches a document collection for the most relevant passages and gives them to the model as context. The model then answers from those passages and can cite them. RAG lets a small model answer accurately about an office’s own files without retraining, and it makes answers checkable because each one points to its source.

01

Why it matters for an office

It is how a private assistant answers “what did we agree with this client in March?” from your records instead of guessing.

02

How ANVE uses it

ANVE uses retrieval over the office’s approved documents for question answering, which runs today on the prototype, and keeps the source next to each answer.

03

Questions people ask

Does RAG stop hallucinations?
It reduces them but does not eliminate them. Good systems also tell the model to say “not in the documents” when the answer is missing, and test that it does.
04

What is not real yet

No sealed ANVE unit exists; every image of the appliance on this site is a labelled render. The software runs today on a development machine. No customers yet, no certifications, no delivery date, and the final price is not announced.

Reservations are ₹999 in India or US$12 elsewhere, refundable in full until you confirm an order in writing (terms). Offices that cannot use cloud AI can apply to be one of ten design partners.
