Does private AI work with Google Workspace? Files move easily. A live connection is a separate decision.
Short answer. Partly. Files move easily; live connections are a separate question. Google Docs, Sheets and Slides can edit, download and convert Microsoft Office files, so documents and decks made by a private AI in DOCX or PPTX open in Workspace. Google lists what does not survive conversion: macros; embedded charts and videos in Word and PowerPoint files, which become images; linked spreadsheets; and SmartArt, which becomes a Google Drawing. A private AI that reads Gmail or Drive directly needs a connector and permissions that someone must approve. ANVE’s exports open in Google Slides and Docs today. A ready-made Google Workspace connector is not on ANVE yet, and a connector works only if an administrator approves it.

What Google changes when it converts Office files
Google’s help page says you can edit, download and convert Microsoft Office files in Docs, Sheets and Slides, either through Office Compatibility Mode in Chrome or by opening the file directly in the Google editor. It lists the features that are not supported when you edit with the Google editors.
Macros. Google suggests reimplementing them in Apps Script.
Embedded charts and videos in Word and PowerPoint files, which are converted to images.
Linked spreadsheets in Excel files.
SmartArt, which is converted to Google Drawings.
Protected workbooks: locked and hidden cells become viewable and editable after transfer to Sheets.

What private means when Workspace is in the loop
A private AI keeps the AI step on hardware you control: the prompts, the model and its logs stay in the office. Files you keep in Google Drive are still held by Google, and a document that a private AI drafts and you then upload to Drive is stored there like any other. So private covers the AI processing, not the storage. Decide document by document which files may be uploaded, and keep the most sensitive ones off Drive altogether if your policy says so.

How an office would set this up
List which folders and file types the AI may read, and which of its outputs may go to Drive.
Prefer DOCX, PPTX and PDF for hand-over, and test one real deck and one real document in the Google editors before relying on them.
Check Hindi text in the Google editors for font and spacing problems.
If you want a live link, ask for the minimum scopes, a named owner and a log of every call, and start read-only.
Keep the originals. Treat converted copies as working copies.
Review the arrangement each time Google or the AI vendor changes how the connection works.

What ANVE does today
ANVE’s exports open in Google Slides and Docs, as well as Zoho Show and Writer and Microsoft Office. Connectors, for example to Google Workspace or Zoho, work only if an administrator approves one. A connector sends that service only what it is asked to fetch or send, and every call is logged on the box. Ready-made Google Workspace and Zoho connectors are not on ANVE yet. Today Zoho and other tools can connect through MCP connectors an administrator approves, and the Model Context Protocol is an open protocol for linking AI applications to external data sources and tools.
The exports and the MCP connectors run today in ANVE’s development build; the ready-made connectors are not on ANVE yet. No sealed unit exists yet.

Questions people ask
Can the AI read my Google Docs directly?
Not through a ready-made Google Workspace connector yet: ANVE does not have one yet. Today, download the Doc as an Office file or PDF and load it.
Will my slides keep their formatting in Google Slides?
Mostly, but Google says embedded charts and videos in PowerPoint files become images and SmartArt becomes a drawing. Open a real deck in Slides before you present from it.
Does using Google Workspace defeat the point of a private AI?
No, but be clear about what each protects. The private AI keeps the AI processing on your hardware. Files you store in Drive are held by Google. Choose per document.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol, an open protocol that lets AI applications connect to external data sources and tools. A connector built on it needs the same care as any other integration: minimum permissions, approval and logging.

What is not real yet
No sealed ANVE unit exists; every image of the appliance on this site is a labelled render. The software runs today on a development machine. No customers yet, no certifications, no delivery date, and the final price is not announced.
