- Can a CA firm use ChatGPT with client files?
- The CA Act makes disclosing client information without the client's consent professional misconduct; it allows disclosure with consent or where the law requires it. No ICAI ruling applying this to AI tools was found as of 15 October 2026. Firms that use cloud AI usually rely on consent and a business plan. ANVE keeps client files on a box in the firm and logs every AI call to a named person. This is general information, not legal advice.
- Did ICAI say that many CAs use ChatGPT?
- No. That line is the Financial Express reporter's description in a 26 June 2026 article about ICAI's model with Sarvam AI. The ICAI President's quote in the same article is that work done with the model “remains within the institute's ecosystem and does not leave the platform”.
- How many CA firms are there in India?
- About 1 lakh CA firms were registered with ICAI as of October 2025, and 2,129 of them had six or more partners (ICAI data, reported by Business Today, 2 October 2026).
- Which CA agents run on ANVE today?
- Minutes, deck, design, research-library and bill-entry agents run today, and each firm can build private assistants from its own files. Our CA agent library, with GST notice reply, ITR preparation and TDS reconciliation, is built in a separate project and is not on ANVE yet.
- What does ANVE cost for a CA firm?
- ANVE Office, for up to 25 named people, has two indicative prices, both excluding GST: ₹4,49,000 to buy, or ₹13,999 a month for 48 months as rent-to-own, directly from ANVE, with care included and the box yours at the end. Final prices and the rent-to-own agreement are confirmed in writing before you order. The demo call is free and the on-site pilot is paid, with the fee agreed in writing.
