Air-gapped AI.
Defined in plain words, for offices deciding how to use AI.
Short answer. Air-gapped AI is AI that runs on a computer or network physically isolated from the internet. Models, documents and answers stay on the isolated system, and updates arrive by a controlled, offline route such as signed media. It is used where even an outbound connection is not acceptable: defence, sensitive government work, some labs and courts.
How ANVE uses it
ANVE is local by default and designed to keep working with the network cable pulled. An offline entitlement path for sites with no internet is not built yet.
Questions people ask
- Can AI work without internet?
- Yes. Once a model is on the machine, inference needs no connection. Web search, cloud sync and online updates are what need the internet.
What is not real yet
No sealed ANVE unit exists; every image of the appliance on this site is a labelled render. The software runs today on a development machine. No customers yet, no certifications, no delivery date, and the final price is not announced.
Reservations are ₹999 in India or US$12 elsewhere, refundable in full until you confirm an order in writing (terms). Offices that cannot use cloud AI can apply to be one of ten design partners.
