Can we run the software on our own server instead?
You can run open tools yourself; the question is who does the rest of the work.

Short answer. Open tools such as Ollama or vLLM with a web interface like Open WebUI can run on your own server, and many offices with an IT team do exactly that. What you take on is everything around the model: sizing the hardware, drivers, security hardening, accounts and permissions, backups, updates, monitoring and support. ANVE’s launch line-up is a device. Whether ANVEAI would supply the software for a server you provide is not stated here, so ask in writing. For one technical person a workstation with Ollama may be enough; for an office, most of the work lies in the layer around the model.

When doing it yourself makes sense

  • You have an IT person with time and interest.
  • You already run servers with patching and backup routines.
  • You want to experiment, or you have unusual requirements.
  • The group is small and can tolerate downtime.

When it does not

  • Nobody owns patching and backups.
  • You need per-person accounts and a record of use quickly.
  • Staff cannot tolerate downtime.
  • You cannot verify what you have built, because the person who built it may leave. NIST’s server guide tells organisations to consider the availability of trained, experienced staff to administer a server, since skill with one environment does not carry over automatically to another.

What ANVE says

ANVE is a private AI appliance for offices: one device on the office network that runs its AI makers for many named users. The launch line-up has launch specifications and indicative prices ex-GST. ANVE One is for 1 to 3 named users at ₹2,99,000. ANVE Office is for up to 25 at ₹4,49,000. ANVE Office Pro is for up to 100 at ₹9,49,000. ANVE Estate, for more than 100 users, is on quote. ANVE is pre-release: no sealed unit exists and there are no customers yet.

ANVE Office is also offered as rent-to-own, directly from ANVE with no third-party lender: ₹13,999 a month × 48 months, ex-GST, care included (ANVE Care: updates and support), and the box is yours at the end. Both prices are indicative; the final price and the rent-to-own agreement are confirmed in writing before you order.

Whether ANVEAI would license its software for a server you provide, and what it would support in that case, is not stated here. Ask in writing. A paid pilot’s fee is agreed in writing before installation.

Questions people ask

Can I run ANVE’s makers on my existing server?
That is not stated here. ANVE is designed as a device, and ANVEAI confirms in writing what it will and will not support.
Are Open WebUI and Ollama free to run?
You can download and run them yourself. Check each component’s licence for your use, and count staff time as a cost.
What if our IT person leaves?
The system’s knowledge leaves with them. Write runbooks, keep credentials in a shared vault and name a backup person.

What is not real yet

No sealed ANVE unit exists; every image of the appliance on this site is a labelled render. The software runs today on a development machine. No customers yet, no certifications, no delivery date, and the final price is not announced.

Reservations are ₹999 in India or US$12 elsewhere, refundable in full until you confirm an order in writing (terms). Offices that cannot use cloud AI can apply to be one of ten design partners.
